Valentin is a serial entrepreneur and commercialization expert with over 15 years of experience bringing healthtech and medtech ventures from early-stage IP to commercial success in Europe and North America.

As Chief Commercial Officer and co-owner of Ability Switzerland, an ETH Zürich spin-off, he scaled the LYRA robotic gait trainer from zero revenue to a seven-figure run rate and led the company through a successful merger with medica Medizintechnik. He subsequently founded Peak Spirit, a commercialization consultancy that worked with over 100 healthtech and biotech ventures per year before joining the Viopas group in 2024.

Valentin is also Co-Founder and CEO of CustomSurg, an ETH Zürich and Harvard spin-off developing AI-powered surgical planning software for complex fracture care, which received FDA clearance in 2025.

He holds a Master’s in Financial Economics from the University of Zurich and an MAS from ETH Zürich, and lectures in Digital Health Business Models at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons
